All year long will take place the activities surrounding the 375th anniversary to celebrate the great city: Montreal. The celebrations will take place all around the city in honour of its history and its heritage.
Many events are planned making your stay at Les Suites Labelle ideal this year. Here are a couple of activities that will take place in the upcoming months.
Les Hivernales are sporty events taking place outdoors. They will give you a sweat even in the cold winter days. This weekend join in on the Snow Moon by bike on February 11th, on the Montreal Hypothermic Half-Marathon on February 12th or in the Montreal Ice Canoe Challenge also on February 12th. From February 23rd to March 11th, you can discover curling at the Place des Festivals for a night-time game.
Aime comme Montréal at the Musée des beaux-arts de Montréal – ends on February 19th
Hurry, theirs only a couple of days left to this great photo exhibition in which 60 intercultural couples of Montreal showed their love in a photojournalism project. This exhibit presents 30 portraits from the book in which the full collection is available. Diversity is a plus to the city and it’s important to celebrate it. If you miss out on this first presentation of Aime comme Montreal, know that it will also be shown at the Bibliothèque et Archives Nationales du Québec from March 4th to April 16th!
Illuminart at La Place des Festivals – February 23rd to March 11th
Illuminart takes place in the Montréal en Lumière events and is known to be an innovative project presenting Montreal as a smart and digital city. You’ll be able to see light shows and creative pieces of all kinds.
Cité Mémoire – Every Night Until April 10th
This night tour of Montreal’s most popular characters presents you a large range of milestones in Montreal’s history. This piece of culture will be projected throughout the Old Montreal. Possibles – 12 Dates – Once a Month
Each month will take place a different cultural meeting in collaboration with the 375th anniversary of Montreal. These events will take place in random sites of the city. This February, you are invited to Tangente for a creative challenge on urbanism and infrastructure with Jacques Poulin-Denis.
